- Our tour guide will pick you up at the hotel gate by bus around 4:00 AM.
- First stop: Karnak Temple is a unique temple and the largest ancient religious building in the world. Unlike many Egyptian temples, the Temple of Karnak was built by more than one pharaoh and even more than one dynasty. The complex consists of three main buildings, several smaller temples located in the main area, and several temples outside its walls. In the Karnak Museum, you will find a sacred lake in a large courtyard, on the shore of which a wish-fulfilling scarab beetle sits on a marble column. The sheer dimensions of the temple, 1.5 km by 700 m, are awe-inspiring, making it the second most popular site in Egypt after the pyramids.
- Luxor Temple: a majestic structure dedicated to the Pharaohs. Imagine grand processions traversing the Avenue of Sphinxes, a partially restored pathway that once linked Karnak and Luxor for a distance of 2.7 kilometers (entrance fee not included). Explore the captivating courtyards, admire the intricate carvings on the pylons (massive gateways), and soak in the mystical atmosphere that permeates this ancient place of worship. Recent restoration has even revealed brightly colored paintings, bringing the ancient world to vivid life.
- Delicious lunch at the restaurant (drinks not included).
- After lunch, you have the option to embark on a Nile Cruise with a visit to Banana Island for an extra charge. This scenic cruise offers a tranquil view of the Nile and a chance to explore the lush Banana Island.
- In the second part of the program, you will visit the west bank and see the Colossi of Memnon. These are two massive statues depicting a seated Amenhotep III, standing 18 meters high and weighing more than 700 tons each. The statues received the name of Memnon by mistake, as the Greeks saw in them the image of their Trojan hero, Memnon. Despite the misnomer, the name has remained unchanged.
- Your final stop will be the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, a luxurious architectural complex dedicated to one of the greatest women in world history. Queen Hatshepsut, the wife of Pharaoh Thutmose II, took the throne from the rightful successor, Thutmose III, after his death. The temple is located at the foot of the rocks of Deir El-Bahri and is known for its unique structure and location, reflecting the extraordinary story of a female pharaoh in ancient Egypt.
- The tour ends at 18:00.
- Way back to Hurghada. Return to the hotel around 22:00.
